M-Audio Sponsors Red Bull Music Labs
The shared goal of Red Bull and M-Audio is to help individuals navigate through today’s music-making technology and empower them to propel the creative process forward. Regardless of genre, Red Bull Music Labs workshops teach students how to make professional music on easy-to-use equipment that is realistic for them to obtain on their own, and is equally as powerful as equipment costing many times more.
Each Music Labs music production station consists of an Apple laptop loaded with cutting edge software and digital audio capabilities. The workshops focus first and foremost on teaching students to use Propellerhead Reason and Ableton Live for studio production, sound synthesis, song building, remixing, live performance, and hybrid DJing. Each music station also features an M-Audio Ozone, ProSessions Sound and Loop Libraries, Solaris microphone, Studiophile BX5s, and SBX subwoofer.
M-Powered artist Jason Halbert (music director/keyboardist; Clay Aiken, Kelly Clarkson, Nick Carter) will serve as a guest lecturer on the Music Labs tour, sharing his extensive professional experience with Live, Reason and M-Audio hardware.
Red Bull Music Labs will be visiting Portland, OR (3/10-3/14); Ann Arbor, MI (3/24-3/28); Boston, MA (3/31-4/4); Philadelphia, PA (4/14-4/18); and Atlanta, GA (3/17-3/21). Please visit http://www.redbullmusiclabs.com for registration and additional information.
