Second Leg of M-World Tour in Progress
M-World is back! M-Audio's ground-breaking, traveling NAMM-style
stage show kicked off its second leg in September. Like the first
leg of the Remix-sponsored tour, each stop treated attendees to
electrifying stage performances, as well as presentations showing
the latest gear in action. Upcoming tour dates in November include
Austin, and Dallas.
M-World provides a unique platform for displaying the full power
of the products M-Audio either manufactures or distributes, and
demonstrates the company's ''Redefining the Studio'' mantra in action.
For this leg, Michael ''Hucky'' Huckler led the M-World team into
Canada, and Chris Adams, M-Audio's newly-appointed Latin-America
Director of Sales & Marketing, brought M-World to Latin-America
for the very first time.
Dealers and M-aniacs in Toronto on September 9th and 10th were
the first to experience two new additions to the M-World tour. Attendees
got an exclusive look at M-Audio's upcoming USB Audiophile, while
dramatic live presentations introduced the audience to ArKaos VJ,
a powerful new synthesizer for visuals.
The mid-September Montreal stop was distinguished by it's unique
venue; the clinics were held in a non-profit art space known as
SAT, the Society of Art Technologies. Notable visitors to the M-World
public clinic included stalwarts of the Montreal electronica scene
and international artists who happened to be passing through. The
event culminated in an exciting Live! performance by Deadbeat (a.k.a.
Scott Moneeth of Applied Acoustics).
M-World also rocked Argentina, Uruguay and Chile during the middle
of September. In Buenos Aires, the tour was co-sponsored by distributor
Sigma Delta, while Palacio de la Musica partnered with M-Audio to
host M-World in Montevideo. The Santiago stop was co-sponsored by
Audiomusica. Latin America Director Chris Adams plans to continue
his aggressive schedule by increasing M-Audio's tradeshow presence
throughout the continent.
